Bucket List 2016!

Bucket List 2016!

So, 2016 is getting exciting! I’m taking the plunge and going full time on Globetrotter Guru, running my Social Media Consultancy.
Christmas is coming, and it’s time to start thinking about my exciting travel plans for 2016! I’m not sure how much of this bucket list I will cover next year, but I figured aim high. Better to have a higher goal, because even if you miss it, you have still achieved ad experienced more! These are my top 5 travel trips for 2016…

There are one of the best locations for your summer bucket list this 2016

1. Serbia and Bosnia

This really is an extension of this summer. I traveled from Istanbul overland to Sofia in Bulgaria and had an amazing time. However, I did cut the trip shorter because of a few medical appointments. I had to see a neurologist in Oxford and have some painful dental work done. So February 2016 will be the time hat I can continue this trip! I’m particularly interested in religion in Serbia, and also the history of the war in Yugoslavia.

2.Iceland

My sister has done this trip! And I filled with Envy! I trained as a geography teacher, so I’m really interested in the volcanos geysers and lagoons. One of my massive goals is to go Husky sledding, and a glimpse of the Northern lights would be the icing on the Icelandic cake!

3. Cambodia and Thailand

– I did my degree in religion and theology at the University of Manchester, with a specialism in Buddhism. So Thailand and Cambodia are high on my bucket list. Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand has been described as a digital nomad paradise, and I am hungry for a Pad Thai! Siem Reap in Cambodia has been voted the number one travelers attraction worldwide and I can’t wait to explore those temples! I’m also interested in the history of Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot.

4. Madagascar

– I have read a bit about the rainforest a of Madagascar and I would love to stay in an eco-lodge there to explore the wildlife. Flights are quite expensive from the Uk. But let’s see what I can do! I like to move it move it! 😉

5. Columbia

– Many of my readers will have learned about my friendship with an amazing Columbian girl called Tatiana, who I met at Sultan Hostel in Istanbul. She has made me hungry for some Latin American culture! Bogota, Cartagena, and Medellin will definitely be on my Colombia schedule!

Don’t Forget Your Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is so important as it will help you with emergencies and unexpected costs on your trip. Make sure that you declare any pre-existing health conditions so that you are covered for those. Check your cover for accidents and medical care and also lost baggage or getting things stolen. Remember to report as soon as something goes wrong on your trip because some travel insurance companies require you to report something that you want to claim for within 24 hours. Read the fine print carefully when you sign up. I always recommend World Nomads. You can get a free quote here:
