So many people ask me what is my favourite destination? It is such a difficult question to answer, as I love so many places! But Thailand, Spain, Morocco and Poland are near the top of my list!
As Templeseeker, my favourite destinations are full of history, religion and culture. My top continents are Europe, Asia and Africa. Being based in the UK, it’s cheap and easy enough to explore the Churches and historical sites of Europe. I adore London and Paris, but alsohave a particular fasctination with Eastern Europe and the Baltics.
You clearly cannot beat the temples of Asia, and so as Templeseeker, I spend a lot of time in India and Southeast Asia. It’s where my true passion lies and I did my MA in South Asian studies at the University of Manchester. A lot of my travel blogs also focus on North Africa and the Middle East, with a particular focus on Israel and Morocco.
Being based in the UK I am lucky enough to have an abundance of Cathedral cities on my doorstep and so I often travel around England to see some of the most amazing Cathedrals including St Pauls, York Minster and Leicester Cathedral (pictured right). We also have some fantastic medieval cities and historical places to visit in UK.
Beyond the UK, I love visiting France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. I’m now learning Spanish and French to help me with my travels around Europe and beyond. But my real passion in Europe centres on Eastern European and Baltic countries. I am a massive fan of old town architecture which is in abundance in countries such as Poland, Bulgaria and Romania – three of my absolute favourites countries. This picture below is Gdansk in Poland – it’s a fantastic city for me to visit because it’s just a few hours away from Liverpool with direct flight connections. My last return ticket was just £36!
