Why I love the Radisson Blu!
Today, we arrived at London Stansted airport ready to fly to Barcelona tomorrow morning. Since the first time I stayed at the Radisson Blu, every time I fly from Stansted, that’s where I stay, because of its excellent service and close proximity to the airport. You can walk to the check-in desks within 5-10 minutes.
I’m so happy because on this trip, my gorgeous boyfriend Simon is joining me for this blogging trip 😉 We are on our way to review Sweet Home Abroad in Barcelona.
My Previous Stays at the Radisson Blu Stansted
The first time I stayed at the Radisson Blu, I really liked the basic room. It was clean, comfortable and had everything you need for an airport stopover.
The second time I stayed at the Radisson Blu, I actually got a complementary upgrade to business class. The business class hotel room had a few added extras including bathrobe, complimentary mineral water and a coffee machine.
We got Upgraded to a Suite at the Radisson Blu!
Today, I found out that we had been upgraded to a Radisson Blu hotel suite! How exciting! I’ve never actually stayed in suite before, even though I have been travelling for over 15 years.
What’s it like to stay in a Suite at the Radisson Blu Hotel Suite Stansted?
The suites at the Radisson Blu hotel Stansted are massive compared to the basic rooms. They have a whole extra lounge area where you can sit to read the free travel and business magazines that are provided. There is an iron and ironing board in the cupboard as well as the usual hairdryer. We also get slippers!
It feels like they know me too well at the Radisson Blu now, because ready on the table was a bottle of my favourite wine – Pinot Grigio Blush. Oooooh – don’t mind if I do! Thank you Radisson Blu!
Additionally, Radisson Blu always provide complimentary toiletries, but in the suite, they really go to town! In the Radisson Blu hotel suite, you get larger sized shower gel and shampoo, as well as an additional deep sleep pillow spray and hand cream. Pure Luxury!
Dinner at Felinis
I love to eat at Felini’s, the Italian restaurant at the Radisson Blu. This evening I had a gorgeous crab linguine and Sy opted for the lamb cultets. Both dishes were superbly cooked and extremely tasty.
It wouldn’t be a trip to the Radisson Blu without a drink in the Wine Tower Bar, of course! We headed down for beer and wine and to watch the angels fly.
The wine angels fly up and down the wine tower every half an hour from 7pm. They are trained acrobats. Don’t be shocked by the alarm at 7pm, that’s just to let you know that the angels are starting to fly!
Above all, have you ever stayed in a Radisson Blu Hotel Suite?
• In conclusion: This is a sponsored post. As a professional travel blogger, I always declare when freebies or discounts have been received in return for promotion. I received a friends and family discount at the Radisson Blu, which allows me to get this information to you.
Don’t Forget Your Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is so important as it will help you with emergencies and unexpected costs on your trip. Make sure that you declare any pre-existing health conditions so that you are covered for those. Check your cover for accidents and medical care and also lost baggage or getting things stolen. Remember to report as soon as something goes wrong on your trip because some travel insurance companies require you to report something that you want to claim for within 24 hours. Read the fine print carefully when you sign up. I always recommend World Nomads. You can get a free quote here:
