Liverpool Beatles Tour Package – Following the Footsteps of the Fab Four!

So many travellers and bloggers love the Beatles. My younger cousin Anna is actually Beatles obsessed, so I guess that this blog really is dedicated to her! I hope that you enjoy my Beatles fan guide to Liverpool.I also include recommendatyion on how to book a good Liverpool Beatles Tour Package.

The Beatles Fan Guide to Liverpool

Book yourself an Air BnB to get an authentic experience – if you think you can handle inner city Liverpool, go for Wavertree, Kensington or Anfield rather than the swish city centre apartment. Count the bookies and ‘Booze Busters!’ It will save you money and give you an insight into genuine Liverpudlian life! Get £25 of free AirBnB credit by registering here.
If you fly into John Lennon airport, you will be greeted by a fabulous statue of the Yellow Submarine!

It’s possible to book a Liverpool Beatles tour package, but the good news is that you don’t have to. It’s quite easy to see most of the sites – particularly the city centre ones – yourself on foot.

Book a Liverpool Beatles Tour Package Online

If you are a die hard Beatles fan traveller, you might also be interested in the following Liverpool Beatles tours:

You can book a decent Liverpool Beatles Tour Package online with GetYourGuide and Viator Travel. I’d recommend booking a long weekend staying at the Hard Days Night Hotel and then do the Magical Mystery tour on one day and the Liverpool walking tour with the Beatles Story on the other.

Where to Stay – Hard Days Night Hotel

Of course, if you can afford to splash your cash, there really is no where else to stay other than the brand new Beatles inspired Hard Days Night Hotel. Grab a Strawberry Fields cocktail in ‘Bar Four’ and head out on the town for the full Beatles experience!

Magical Mystery tour

The Magical Mystery Tour is the Beatles tour bus that will drive you to find the houses of Paul McCartney and John Lennon. You will also see Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane. All this will be with your very own Beatles obsessed Guide!

The Beatles Story

The Beatles Story is the ultimate experience for any Beatles fan. Walk through the museum of their life and fame, learning the story of their early days and their trip to Hamburg. See the growth of the band trough time with every album from Twist and Shout to Abbey Road. See how they were inspired by the Hare Krishna movement of India. The final room amazing you with John Lennon’s white piano.

Matthew Street and the Cavern Quarter

Visit the Cavern Club on Matthew Street to experience the streets and bars where the fab four played in the 60’s. Just remember that the Cavern today isn’t the exact room where they played originally. You can grab a picture with John Lennon before going in!

Where to Drink – The Jacaranda

For more Beatles music and memorabilia, you must go for a drink in the Jacaranda pub and club on Slater street. Head upstairs for a more chilled out atmosphere where you can listen to old records on the record players in the booths!

Street Art and Beatles Inspired Statues

It’s enough for any Beatles fan to simply walk down Lord Street street listening to buskers playing their renditions of ‘money can’t buy me love’ and stumbling amongst Beatles inspired street art.

You can also find a statue of Eleanor Rigby (song from the album Revolver) on Stanley Street. Ah, look all the lonely people…

You can find the ‘fab four’ statue and the ‘Peace Statue’ in memory of John Lennon on the Albert Docks. Grab a coffee at the Fab Four cafe while you are there.
